Dry and dull coat
Submitted by angela on Jan 15, 2007
I have a one year old cat with a very dry, dull coat. Is there anything I can do about this?

Answer:

You can try giving her a fatty acid supplement - something with omega-3 fatty acids is best. There are may places to order these online, including the Dr. Fosters and Smith website.

If you kitty is overweight, she may also not be grooming properly, or she may just be prone to dry skin. If you feel that she is not grooming herself and she is not overweight, then she should be evaluated by a vet, as often times cats harboring illnesses stop grooming.
