momma was doin her usual body inspections on us tonight, something she does every week, and was worried at finding a small pea-sized lump under my right foreleg armpit area.. its small and hard right now so she is hoping and praying that its just an absess since she knows how to deal with those and they are easily taken care of most times.. but because of the location.. she also has the suspicion its a possible mammory tumor (we females have two nipples in the pits under forelegs.. shes praying it isnt cause then id have to go in for surgery and get it removed.. or.. she will just leave it alone and let me live out the rest of my life since im old and might not be a canididate for surgery.. i's scared!

so far.. it hasnt gotten any bigger, so momma thinks it might be an absess or worse case a cyst.. it doesnt feel squishy like tumors do.. its hard.. like something that needs draining.. momma is going to give it a week, if it doesnt become soft she will prepare me for a mini surgery by giving me a warm bath and then doing hot compresses to bring it to the surface.. if it does come up to a head, its definately an absess and she will see if its badly infected by drawing a bit of the fluid out of it.. if its greenish at all with blood she will put me on antibiotics and then make a small incision to let it drain and care for it until it heals.. if its just blood she will leave it and attempt to just make it go away with antibiotics, either way.. yukky medicine is coming my way:( un;ess of course its a tumor.. which i dont want!
