Today my babies are hatching, my human got a phone call from a family member to tell her they were hatching because she was in Lincoln visiting a friend (that’s an hours train journey and 30 min bus journey away). She got the earliest train back and found that 4 of the babies had already hatched out, 5 were on their way out. Very exciting! Unfortunately my humans sister tried to retrieve one of the babies and accidentally knocked the clutch of 13 eggs upside down and didn’t even realise, my human was gutted when she found out. It’s unlikely they survived being upside down like this. She put them right side up and is hoping for the best, she’s really not happy about her sisters lack of care for the eggs. :,(

Heres one of the babies, forgot to add it last night!!! D'OH!

Hehe, it's a very good question Pippy, well somewhere along the line, both me and Benny must of had either a parent or grandparent that was that colour, so we both possess the genes to create a black coloured snakie. Those parents/grandparents must also have the genes to create Orange/brown snakes to create me/Benny. It's all very confusing lol.

this is going to be a stupid question but why is the baby black and white/gray when the parents orange and yellow/white?

Thanks! so far the eggs still look white and plump so i may have gotten lucky! I don't think i should let her take care of the eggs again, i'm happy being over protective lol.
