Great danes are good dogs, they can be a really big playful dog, & also can be a lazy big ol' lap dog.

They will try to sit on your lap, cause I do xD.

But they shed quit a bit for a short hair dog, they also need alot of exersice.

I am only HLF husky...But I have the TOTAL husky personallity, I love Chasing anything that moves, I'm EXTREMELY hard headed and stubborn, I LOVE TO RUN NON-STOP !! { I would run around ALL DAY LONG...If mum would let me !! BOL }

Mama has now spent { As of last week } $860 in obedience classes for me !! { I'm too much of a leader...and not so much a follower }

Please remember that Huskies are very hard working dogs. They need alot of excercise and training. Sibes are high prey drive, so if you have a cat, you should socialize the puppy and the cat at an early age so the dog will not become aggressive to it.  They also require alot of grooming and the excess fur needs to be removed by brushing. Sibes may seem like they are hot under all that fur, but actually there under coat is what keeps them cool, so don't shave them. They do shed alot, but I would assume since you already have Jake, your parents won't mind the fluff balls around the house.  Huskies should never be off leash unless they are properly trained - they will and can take off and they run really fast.  I am not trying to list all the cons of owning a Husky and it's not that I don't trust that you won't take care of him/her but I see so many Sibes end up in shelters or sitting in backyards because the people who bought them cannot handle all their energy. They may be beautiful, but alot of things come with the beauty.

Well Jake me and my mum wish you a great summer holiday!! Mum would be kicking her kids out to play in the sun with their friends so Its probably a good thing that your mum doesn't  sit at home on your computer and DOES go out with her friends and have fun!!  Hopefuly me and my humans will get lots of beach time (providing the Scottish summer is more continental than Scottish!!LOL) , Enjoy your break !
