Celebrate National Honesty Day in a completely open and honest way. There are few rules for this special day......just be honest. Origin of "National Honesty Day": Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. Our research suggests that there is a link between National Honesty Day and George Washington. Washington's honesty was famous. As the tale goes, when Washington was a child, he chopped down one of his father's Cherry trees, and admitted it when asked. This is referred to as a "National" day. However, we did not find any congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day.
