A Very Silent Night is just that - to humans. Recorded at a frequency only dogs can hear, the song was a Chartbuster in New Zealand over the Holiday season.
Dogs had some mixed responses to the songs.
"The most violent one was a a dog that physically attacked the radio when it was playing and went quite berserk and tottaly destroyed it," Bob Kerridge, the chief executive of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) was quoted as saying in a Reuters report.
Obviously, that dog was not a music lover.
Most dogs just kind of lie down and do nothing. The charity CD was priced as $3.93 (US) or $4.99 in New Zealand. It contained a vocal version as well as an instrumental version, but it was unclear as to what kind of music the dogs were actually hearing.
The CD is soon to be released in in Austraila and the United States. The disc has raised $17,300 US for the SPCA already. Source
