i have a tendency to lay on my plants and sleep. mommy and daddy think that this is really weird. so i was just wondering does anyone else do this?

Hmm that is kind of weird. Me, Tinyfry, and Skinny will fall asleep inside the hamster tubes, and Riley sometimes in awkward spots but never laying down. The old goldfish sometimes rested on the bottom as they got older (about 5 or 6) they would stop swimming and lounge around more. I'm not sure about the lifespan for bettas, but how old are you? That may have something to do with it. Otherwise i don't know what to tell you :/
