We got Blacky 2 years after our Max left us to take his journey. Blacky's litter was listed in the paper as Purebred Lab Pups and my dad had grown up w/ Labs because his older brother liked to hunt when he got older and had his own hunting dog named Duke. Well when my uncle wasn't hunting Duke was the family pet. Anyways we went to look at the dogs and the guy asked us if we wanted a one of the Lab/Collie mixes or the the purebred Labs.  We chose the labs so he took us to the pen w/ lots of little black puppies and Blacky was the quiet one sitting in the back not even making a sound. My mom took him to get his puppy shots a few days later and we found out that there was also Pittie in him! We loved him anyway!
