How I Arrived To My Family:
He flew on a Delta Cargo plane from Knoxville, Tennessee,to Providence Rhode Island, when he was just 8 weeks old. We picked him up at the airport. He was a scared thirsty little pup when we first met. the only water available was in a sport water bottle. He learned to drink from a squirt bottle then and that is his favorite way to drink even to this day. He sat on my lap all the way home and it was love at first sight.
My Personality:
Shane is a very warm, loving dog. He is perfectly suited to his work as a Therapy dog. In spite of his huge size, he is the most non-confrontational dog I have ever met. He tends to be a bit reserved around other dogs, but absolutely LOVES people.
My Tricks:
Will shake hands with either paw.
Favorite Food:

Running around in our pasture with the horses

Favorite Activities:
Chasing my Frisbee, and swimming in the ocean.
A Typical Day:
7 am breakfast, then out to help feed the horses. 8 am trip to the dog park, 9 am home again and a nap, then out to guard the yard from all of the"invisible" intruders that only he can see. 6pm dinner followed by more guarding,sleeping then bed at 11 pm.
Happiest Moment:
When either my husband or I come home from any where. Shane wags from his nose on back, and he talks!
Favorite House Spot:
In the living room by the sliding glass door....good view of the world from there.
Places I Have Visited:
For a young dog, Shane has traveled quite a bit. He goes everywhere with us. He has been to Florida twice, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Hampshire.
Things I Own:
Lots and Lots of toys, but especially my collection of Frisbees
My Little Mischiefs:
When no one is looking, he tries to steal our 18 year old cat's food.
My Health:
Pretty good, but last week, he had two new caps on his teeth and he was a bit wilted after that.
