This is my new little angel, Katie. She is the only surviving girl in a litter of seven. Katie was born on Valentine's Day (2008). She is my little V-day gift from heaven. I love her so very much, and can't wait to bring her home. I will get to bring her home around the 27th of March. I'm so excited! I've had so much fun preparing for her. 

Things I bought Katie:

Car seat Stroller combo, 2 Carriers, a Crate with pink bumper set, 6 puppy toys, a collar, with a matching  harness, a necklace, two pink bowls, puppy pads, puppy diapers, baby blanket, 30 pink hangers, and about 50+ outfits.

I am also cleaning out the front bedroom for her, so that she won't have to share space with Hunter. He's so much bigger than her I'm afraid he might squish her.

Katie is going to be the most spoiled pup around. Reasoning behind all of it....

Back on October 13th of 2003, my daughter Krysta was born. After giving birth to her, I found out that she was born with a Diaphragmatic Hernia. Usually this means a hole in the diaphragm. In her case she was missing the entire left side of it. Four hours after she was born she went on a machine called: E.C.M.O. This machine kept her alive for 14 days. It bypassed her heart and lungs so that she could save her energy for surgery. At 14 days old, she had her first major surgery to repair her diaphragm. The surgery was a success. Krysta was making progress for about a month after that, and then took a turn for the worse with a staff infection. The doctors at Tampa General Hospital helped her fight her way back to health. After working so hard, they decided to give her a Tracheotomy. This way she could be transferred to Pensacola (closer to home). Unfortunately, she received another staff infection from the surgery, and didn't make it. She lived to be 2months and 2 days old, and passed away on December 15, 2003. I have missed her very much, and have been unable to completely move on with my life. I cry every time I think about her, or if I see another little girl around the same age Krysta would be, so I thought maybe a little girl in my life would help me grieve the little girl I lost. This is why Katie is the light in my life, and I am so lucky to have her.
