How I Arrived To My Family: When I was born I lived with 4 kittens, 7 cats, 3 dogs, 2 birds and a ferret, then Mom came into my life. What a wonderful day that was. She looked at all my brothers and sisters and she picked me! On the way home Mom told me that I have an older brother to keep me company and his name was Nutmeg. Having come from a large family, I thought it was great that there was only going to be the three of us – lots of cuddles and hugs. When Mom brought me inside I was amazed, there were all kinds of toys to play with and there was even kibbles in the food bowl – that never happened where I was before! When Mom placed me on the floor, the first thing I did was scratch my claws on this great big scratching post with all kinds of toys dangling from it. Mom was so thrilled that I knew what it was for she gave me treats. Nutmeg was somewhat shy when we first met, but it didn’t take him long to fall in love with me and after that wherever Nutmeg went so did I. Mom would take us out for walks, play fetch, teach us tricks and she’d even bring us to the cat store so we could each pick out a new toy every month. Mom always told me I was the cutest Parsley in the whole-wide world and all the other Parsley were green with envy – then she’d laugh, rub my ears and belly until I purred with contentment. Nutmeg and I agreed that she was the greatest Mommy in the whole-wide world and we were lucky to have her as our Mom. When I got sick, Mom brought me to a special doctor, not just our regular vet, to see if he could make me all better. He did everything he could to help me, but God decided that he wanted me in Heaven with him, so I had to leave Nutmeg and Mom. Nutmeg and Mom were really sad and cried a lot, but they both knew it was best for me and even if I wasn’t there physically, I was still part of their life. In June Nutmeg joined me in Heaven and now the two of us watch over Mom, Cilantro and Tarragon waiting for the day that we will all be together as a family again.
