Ho'o Lehua aka Lehua was part of the pet family in Hawaii and moved to CA with the rest of her pet sibling in 1996. Lehua belonged to sissy. Lehua was very loving and would never hurt anything. She was strong and would jump with excitement but would never hurt anyone.
Lehua loved playing with Pepeiao in the yard and they would play together for hours on end.
Lehua was also a very strong willed dog who was persistant in getting out of the yard and roaming the streets. She would climb fences, dig holes under them, and break leashes to get outside. No matter what we did we could not get her to stay home. She would run out the open door if we made her stay inside. Despite this she always came home but that never took the fear away that a car would hit her.
She was our FEARLESS little girl!!
As she got older she got arthritus and roamed less. Despite this Lehua disappeared one day in the summer of 2004 from her yard. It was hard to tell if someone let her go or if she broke out in her usual manner.
No matter what we did to find her we could not and after months of searching concluded that she must have gone to Rainbow Bridge.
