JR is a handsome Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix doggie.  He was born on September 28, 1982 and made his journey to Rainbow Bridge at the age of 14.

JR was the runt of his litter that no one wanted. He was originally named Junior before he came to our house because he was such a runt.

JR was so cute that Mom couldn’t resist and refused to allow JR to be considered a runt and and thus named him JR.

Mom brought JR from one island to another to keep him. JR grew up with human sissy who was only one at the time. JR came from Hawaii to CA with the family in 1996.  Mommy brought all 5 of her fur and feather babies with her refusing to leave anyone behind.

JR was mommy’s little fur ball and sissy’s baby. He had not a mean streak in him and never hurt anyone. He was full of love and devotion for his family. He was especially close to mommy but more so to human sissy. He would sleep with her every night because Pepeiao was always sleeping with mommy.

JR became sick during his last year of life. The more he aged the more illnesses he endured. This included bladder problems and having seizures. We were always afraid he would have a seizure when we were not home. He played less and slept a lot more.

One day when no one was home except the fur babies the Angels came to take him away from us to Rainbow Bridge. He did not look like he had suffered a seizure and looked like he was simply taking a nap – very peaceful.

I wasn't  even sure he if he had really left us. We were all very sad but knew he was finally at peace without medicines, blankets and diapers and that he could once again be able to play.

Sissy buried JR in our back yard and we all made him a special stone with his name carved in to it.

You will never be forgotten as we always watch for you in the clouds and rainbows up above where you are resting peacefully and playing with your friends and Lehua in the heavens above us
