A Tribute to the Hero’s and Victims of 9/11

September 11^th, oh what a day,

It changed our lives in so many ways,

Osama bin Laden - evil and mad,

Killed innocent people which made us all sad.

A national landmark is what they picked,

Destroyed completely making us sick,

The world watched in horror the collapse of the Towers,

World Trade Center attacked to show off their powers?

Flight 93, they hijacked as well,

The people on board were brave you can tell,

They fought the hijackers – put up quite a fight,

Thanks to these people the Pentagon is alright.

They all lost their lives – I’m sorry to say,

So others would live to see a new day,

We’ll never forget the courage they showed,

Knowingly sacrificing their life's undaunted and bold.

A war on Terrorism Bush declared,

People were frightened and very scared,

How could this happen to the great USA,

What did they do to deserve such a day?

7 years later and we’re still at war,

People we love getting killed and many more,

Countries united to join in the fight,

Attempting to make everything right.

Life as we knew it won’t be the same,

We have only Osama bin Laden to blame,

A coward at heart – he went into hiding,

Directing his people to keep up the fighting.

Today we remember all that was done,

Still fighting a war that hasn’t been won,

A minute of silence to show our respect,

For something that happened we didn’t expect.

We pray for the families that lost their loved ones,

And a tribute to those who’s life’s are now done,

Eternally grateful to all those brave souls,

Who fought for their country, without being told.

For this we thank you each and every day,

Showing our support in many various ways,

September 11^th is a day we unite and extend,

Our thanks to our hero’s who’s lives are now ended.

Please take a minute and say a small prayer,

For the people who risked their lives for our welfare,

Pray to for the ones still fighting the fight,

Their doing their best to make everything right!

Instead of sending out our normal morning greetings – we want to to show our respect to the hero’s and families that were destroyed from the devastation of 9/11.

Good Bless America and all the countries that support them in their endeavour to make the world a better place for all of us.
