About Me
These are all animals I worked with at the Humane Society where I volunteer. I won't enter these pictures in contests or photo galleries. I just wanted to use this as sort of a showcase to the great animals in shelters. Most of the dogs at this particular shelter are adopted out but I'll put the outcome, name, approx. age and gender of each dog in the captions. You can look at the available pets, the strays or just the general happenings and fundraisers of the shelter at this site. http://hsppr.org/ It won't link right but you can copy and past it into the browser and get there.

This is really AWESOME to see!  I volunteer at the Humane Society of Utah as well and I can't even tell you what a difference it's made in my life and in my husbands life.  It's so hard but it's so worth it.  I love to see this.  You are an incredible person!

this really is a great way to get their pictures out there.  I was adopted from a no kill shelter here in NY.  I wish you all the luck finding them the best homes possible, just like I found mine

Here's the link to the shelter site. You can read about the facility, see what animals are in, read success stories, see what fundraising events are coming up, etc.

My Details

How I Arrived To My Family: I work with these dogs because they're either hyper and in need of training or shy and in need of socialization. I very rarely work with dog less then 7 months and I never work with dogs under 5 months. Though there are a lot of puppies at the shelter and shelters in most places. I also don't work with Cats or other pets but there are loads of cats and lots of other pets too, from horses to hamsters. The breeds I work with most often are German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Border Collies and Beagles because they're very high energy and therefore most of the ones coming to the shelter are in need of training. Don't let that sour you on any of those breeds though because they tend to also be very quick learners and easy to train. As you can already see by the pictures up, though, there are an array of breeds put in the TLC(Twice Loved Canines) program, which is the training and socialization program.
