momma says she would stay away from bones with too much protein in em.. us hammies need a lil protein but not much since we's not carnivores.. too much protein would make us itchy! but if you arent sure about the amounts of stuff in em.. just make sure its just a nice 'uncommon treat', just depends i guess, momma says protein is good for helping an underweight or nursing rodent too:D baby cookies are also a nice treat for hammies since a rodent's usual requirements of protein is about the same as human requirements.. dat's why when momma has to nurse baby ratties she uses human soy milk formula:D hammies love the baby cookies too!:D there's so many things us hammies love as treats:D i love those hammie treats i won in the derby:D they's so good! :D momma says i's spoiled though hehe, i love those lil animal cookies for babies:D

When I was pregnant with my babies mom had to give me nutro dog food(only like 2 pellets)its great protein. I think milkbones are the best brand you can have, they are just healthy over all and Murphy(moms shih-tzu) loves them lol. |

Mom's not sure. We don't eat bisquits because guinea pigs shouldn't eat animal protein. It can upset their bellies. We didn't even know that hamsters ate dog bisquits. We knew about mice and ratties but not hamsters. We learned something today. XD |
