Rahab
Is your name special?

What does your name mean? Were you named after anyone or anything? My name is Rahab. I was named, of all things, after a prostitute in the bible! What was my mom thinking!?!? Rahab turned out to be a good person... but hey come on, a prostitute! Thanks mom!

Hey Rahab, my doggie sister is named Jezybelle(Mom changed the spelling of course) but Jez doesn't know what that means so we won't ever tell her. Hee Hee. Snarff I knew exactly where your name came from. We love the Thundercats and wish they would come on TV again. Snarff Snarff......... :)

Can you put this on talking dog video?

Snarff
Ooh, I would love to see you on a talking dog video saying my name! My mommy likes to say my name a lot, but she also likes to leave the "S" off and say it in a weird voice like Pinky from the Pinky and the Brain cartoon! She's such a weirdo!

Ville

My original daddy named me after the lead singer of the band HIM, and my step daddy named my step-sister Jade after guitar player of AFI, and NOW we just acquired Scruffy Wallace into the mix, who was already named Scruffy Wallace but we forget why....silly people always concentrating on names, I just like running around, it's not like I listen anyways! haha. They could call me POOP and I'd probably come to it...

:p

George
My cat mommy had 5 kitten and my human mommy named them all cat type names then when she came to me she wanted something different...then she ended up keeping only me! I love my name and so does everyone who meets me so far :)

I especially love your name, because there is a local seafood restaurant called Captain George's...Mommy smells so good after she comes home from eating there! Sometimes she'll even share some leftovers!

:) Ummmm... Seafood! I like to go by King George instead of Captin...but hey as long as they know I'm in charge I can go by Captin George :)

Diamond Emerald Eyes
When Loreta-Bean adopt me, she name me "Hunny Bunny". This is stupid name for Cat, as Cat is not a bunny. When I go to my new home, I get named Diamond because I have little white spot on chest, looks like I wearing a diamond. Not best name in the world, but much better than Hunny Bunny.

Tater
Diamond is a much more suitable name for a cat than Hunny Bunny! Of course my mom named me after food, which really doesn't make sense to me!

I love the name Diamond... I think it means you're like a rare, valuable, jewel to your mommy :) And 10 times better than hunny bunny...how silly is that for a cat.

When my mommy brought me home, she wasn't sure what to name me. So when I wouldn't leave her alone when she was eating a cheesy hash brown tater casserole, my daddy thought it would be cool to call me Tater. Mom liked it too and the rest is history! By the way, I still like to bug Mom when she eats anything with potatoes it it!

JoJo
My mom named me after a fat drunk who liked to hang out at the bar she worked at. She said I had the fattest kitten belly she'd ever seen (not due to worms, either) and the JoJo human had the fattest beer belly she'd ever seen! Moral to the story: Don't feel bad about being named after a biblical prostitute...it could be worse!

Thanks Diamond...when she calls me in the house for a snack her friends usually laugh. they say your calling him like a child or a dog...he's a cat, he'll never come when he's called! Then they get a huge shock when I come tearing around the corner into the house....LOL...I love my name :)

Akasha
when my human sister got me, she named me akasha because shes weird(lol, just kidding..sort of :p). She read that in sanskrit it's "aether". That means in the five great element of some religions, there's air, earth, water and fire. then theres akasha, which is spirit, the stuff that unites everything. she thought it was pretty and a good name for a black cat. Then when mommy got my bro dexter, my human sister suggested the name dexter jokingly and mom loved it.

Sarah the First
My name (Sarah) is short for Serendipity with some changes to the spelling. They thought it was serendipity that I came into their lives to stop them from being sad and lonesome for my cat brother Nigel anymore (his name was from a song). "Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate"

Pandi
My name is Mr. Pandemonium. That is because I caused pandemonium when I came to live in my home. My mom and her friend drove almost 2 hours each way to the roadside rest stop where they saw me several days before, put out a fire on the side of the road, made big male truck drivers use the girls restroom so I wouldn't get scared away from where the cat trap was, and drove home with me crying and meowing all the way...and they didn't throw me out of the car!

Sexy Man Smokey
Mommy named me Smokey, cause I have the gray smoke color all over my back. I also had an aunt that I looked like (she lived in the same boatyard I did) her name was Smokey, so Mommy named me after her cause she passed on..

Peanut aka Peanutlicious
well my original name was Midnight when I was a puppy cause i was all black....well lo & behold at about 3 months my colors started changing. Mommy changed my name to Peanut cause she said I was the color of a honey roasted peanut, plus compared to my dog mommy, Misty, I was a peanut. When my human mommy would talk about me & tell everyone my name is Peanut, they all thought I was a yorkie or some other small breed of dog....well imagine their surprise when they met me for the first time. I like my name very much & would never change it for anything.

Misty Mamajama
When my mommy came to North Shore Animal League to adopt a dog, she looked & looked. The first day she came I was sleeping & she never saw me. Thank goodness she came back the next day & I was awake. My name was already Misty & the name & my eyes are what attracted her to me. She would never ever change my name. I do like my nickname "Big mama" too!

Diamond Emerald Eyes
I think I make my middle name Emerald-Eyes. So I will be Diamond Emerald-Eyes Black Cat. Then I think maybe I put precious in there as well, so I will be Diamond Emerald-Eye Precious Black Cat. I think about Diamond Emerald-Eyes Queen Empress of the Universe All Bow Down To Me Black Cat, but that seem kind of long. But I still be Diamond Cat for sort.
