I agree with Sadie. I used to lover Ceaser Millan but now I really like Victoria, she uses positive training. My m still watches the Dogs Whisperer though but we perfer Victoria = ) |

I don't know, I think I know way more about Cesar than Victoria. Both shows are great, and both methods seem to work. I think I like Cesar better. I hope you get on the show Pugsly! |

Mum loves Ceser Millan !!! She's learned some stuff to use with me, Mum REALLY wishes that Ceser would come to our city & work with me { I have a ton of issues !!! }
I hate ppl on bikes, rollerblades & Skateboards, I'll bark & lunge at them...But once they stop....I stop.
I also HATE loud/strange vehicles, Ex: Buses, the garbage truck, Semi's, SnowPlows Streetsweepers,lawnmowers !!! |

Victoria scares me, whats up with the tight blck leather clothes?????
Cesar ALL the way for me!! His methods use dog phycoligy. He DOES NOT HURT DOGS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM when rehabilating them. He uses a light, corrective touch, his 'bite' is not harmful. Victorias methods, the positive train, just not my thing. Cesars methods have worked better on pepper, and MANY of my friends dogs. Victorias, Bleh. |

I LOVE "ITS ME OR THE DOG" Thats been out in the Uk for a few years now!!
She is awesome but so is Ceasar Milan.. mum got 2 of his books for her birthday this year but THANKFULLY ( hee hee ) she hasn't had much of a chance to read them yet!!
I tried hiding them and was going to chew them up.. but mum found them and put them up high so I can't reach them!! :(
There's also a dog programme called DOG BORSTAL here and their trainers are very good too!!
Ceasars way is very much about the handlers energy which is great if you can be controlled and calm, but Victorias way shows other practicalities too!!!
I love them all cause they each give advice and guidance and our humans can try all methods to help us pets become more balanced and good behaved pets!!
Exercise is probably the biggest factor to better behaved poochies though!! :)

I didn't see anything in your link anout Dogster not liking Ceasar??? Maybe I am missing stuff?? I'm not being rude or snappy to you. :) Sorry if I sound like that.. I don't mean to? I am just not sure about the convo in that link?! I think maybe we ( me and mum) need to cellotape our mouths to our feet so we can't speak or type!!! BOL!! |

The links were to show that many people on dogster like Cesar and are not being bashed about it. It seems like the wrong impression of dogster is being given here in pikapet. And the wrong impression of pikapet is sometimes given on dogster, too. At dogster pikapet is thought of as a place where all the young kids go and make trouble, post fakes, cuss...but we all know that is only a few and pikapet CAN be a fun place to be. I have been bashed on dogster a few years ago because my parents gave away my dog Max and it did not help me at all. But not everyone on dogster are that way =) |

I miss Dogster like heck- but my gawd did those people treat me unfair. They probably still think Juno and Joey are fake service dogs, or that I am an uncapable trainer. |

I have been bashed on here for going to give Bonnie away. All the pets on Pikapet were fine, except a certain dog that was new here and old on Dogster. That made me mad... so you are not the only one :) |

I know how you feel Joey because I got some rude comments back when my parents gave Max away too - and I was definitely on your side when all that was happening. I wish you didn't leave though because I know most of us really love your family. I didn't leave and at this point they have left me alone about it ;) The problem is people jump to conclusions even before knowing the whole story. |

yeah they do go crazy on dogster, I once said how if someone came up to Rocko to pet him without my permission he would attack until I call him off... and I said that because there was a forum on how ppl just touch your pet without asking.. and everyone attacked my post saying how I should get rocko trained and socialized to not do that.. I was actually shocked at there response, and it was really disrespectful to me because they have no right to tell me what to do with my dog... and I have my own opinions about how a dog should react to strangers.... idk it just really ticked me off, thats why (no offense to anyone) I don't like dogster all that much. |

I think dogs should be trained not to attack strangers who approach them, BUT I also think people should ask before attempting to pet dogs they don't know. |

and I think differently, I like how Rocko reacts to strangers if they try touching me or him, it makes me feel safe, especially living in the neighborhood I live in. Rocko's more like my bodyguard...... not really the usual friendly family pet. |

mama loves Cesar, his methods have definitely made a difference with us. I am very dog aggressive & his way of holding the leash & moving the collar up has helped mama a lot when I am walked, mind you we also have Peanut walking with us and his multi-tasking & walking dogs has been very helpful. remember not all methods work with all dogs, I've never seen Victoria so I can't judge her methods |

My favorite trainer is me, because I don't harm my dog or make them very uncomfortable at all. And she still learns.
I don't know much about either of them but if I had to choose, it'd be Victoria.

No offense... but is this a "Why I don't like Dogster" thread? Or a "Which celebity trainer is better" thread? Because, I'm getting the feeling it's not the latter. =/
You'd actually be suprised at how many dogsters like Cesar Millan. Dogster is just a BIGGER community than Pikapet. Hate to burst bubbles. It is. And, the opinions will vary A LOT more because there's MORE people. Duh. And, hate to burst bubbles again, but, I've been bashed a lot more on Pikapet than I've been on Dogster. I love both sites. But, just thought I'd throw that in there. Different people; different experiences.
Anyway, I personally don't like either trainer. Nope. Don't care for them. Victoria creeps me out for some reason. I love her methods, yeah. But, she's just freaky. Cesar Millan, blech. Don't like him at all. His methods are so... my moms day in age. He needs to get with the 21st century. Sure, SOME of his methods work. But, guys, THINK, there are things they DON'T show on TV. |
