I am writing this out of curiousity!
Okay, first of all I am just curious. I was wondering why some pets ask pets to be their pikadate and than either barely talk to them or never talk to them. I know some people don't have much time online, but you would think they would talk to their pikadates. Why ask them if your not going to talk to them? Please this is just a question don't make this into drama please.
The question is:
Why ask someone to be your pikadate if your not going to talk to them?? |

i think that i guess it just depends on who is matched to who, others love to talk alot while others still have real life things that keep them from being so talkative.. as with me and misty, i luff her to pieces but we seem to have a mutual understanding that our momma's and poppa's have things to do and cant spend tons of time here as much as we'd like to, we are only able to come here at certain times of the day and night but thats ok with us because we mean alot to each other:D |

you must be reading my mind Jasper...that's why were are perfect together. mama works 2 jobs & it's hard for her to get on & spend a lot of time, she does check in at least once a day to see the cute comments & cards that are sent to us, but usually dosen't have a lot of time to stay online. that's why she dosen't do comments every day, even though she would love to. right now is the longest she has been able to be on pikapet in a long time and it's after midnight & her eyes are getting droopy......mama needs to have sleepytime soon :) |

and thats why we've stayed together all this time!! :D because we understand that and this is more forum based than an actual chatroom we dont expect answers and such right away:) but others have much more time than we do so they fit better with those of the same type, not once have we fought not shall we ever, we is more laid back and accepting of time differences and real life obligations:) isnt she just beautiful?? -boggles at misty- |

Yes, Jasper is correct. Myself, I have to talk to my girl. It's been killin me not to talk to her as much as I want though...since I have a shared comp! She's the main reason I'm going to get a new laptop VERY soon so I can talk to her as much as I want. Different couples have different wants and needs. Some just pikadate just to date, but I do not believe in that. |

its the same here with me and me lady in life, pinky:) we luff each other muchly and never would leave each other.. we like to kid with each other sometimes and its all in fun and games, we are also laid back and accepting of real time things that need done but once together.. only she, in the world, can make my heart flutter and put hearts in my eyes:D I LUFF J00 PINKY BABE! |

I luff joo more! But, I will let the typist speak for a minute. Typist here ... The thing is, the whole pikadating thing is just pretend. My pets aren't really dating anyone or interested in them. (~Pinky - AHEM!) Except for Pinky who is wildly in love with Gobby (~Pinky - That's better.) I've only agreed to pikadate those animals that I believe have a similar point of view. I have to work 40+ hours a week in addition to seeing and talking with real life family and friends. I don't have the time, desire or energy to comment all my pals or talk to my pikadates on a daily basis. Nevertheless, I love all my pikapals and wouldn't trade them for anything. What's that, Trixie? Oh, Trixie says she'd trade all of you for a diamond tiara. I'm much more likely to comment on things that I find witty and clever or if it's a topic I feel strongly about. |

Sorry if I comment Simon too much for you, I don't expect a response but some of the fish's Pikadates well...demand the attention so Mommy figures she might as well have us all say hi to all of our PIkadates. |

My pikadate is my real in the fur pikadate (and Husband too) so we don't communicate much online. We do play and communicate in the real fur!! |

Hmm good question! I try to send out comments to all of the pikadates at least once a week. Most of my pets being fish, or dating pets from bigger families, understand that I cannot give them my full attention sometimes, but I always give them as much love as possible :) One of the fishie's ex never understood how when I came online once *with very little time to devote to Pikapet that day* why I only talked to Boomer's Pikadate, Hope and none of the others...Boy was he mad, chewing me out about priorities and such LOL This being said, I'd like to have an understand somewhat quiet group of Pikadates for my pets, rather than 20 people trying to talk to me all at once. As for not talking at all, I give them a chance, but if they really aren't talking back I find a new Pikadate and just let them know that i'd like to have someone that at least acknowledges my efforts to say hi. Also with the fish, it's nice having some owners who devote most of their time to their main pet, but stop by occasionally saying hi from their fish. If I need them for something, they are there, and if they need me i'm usually around but we don't constatly cling to each other.Well I think I just about said it all! *Yawns* It's midnight and it's time for me to hit the hay too! |

when I first joined and got lots of requests I thought it was just something that all Pikapetters had (a pikadate) but when it didn't work out I stayed single for a while and I was ok to be single because I wanted to have a pikadate that I knew I got along with and had things in common with!
When Kooter became single I thought all my Christmasses had came at once! I have a lot of fun with Kooter and mum feels comfortable talking to Kooters typist too! |

I try to send out comments to my pets pikadates as much as possible. Lately I haven't been getting on as much because I have other things to do that are more important than the computer. It's nice that others leave my pets comments, and I do respect that! Jibbs has had some good times with his pikadate in the past, and I don't expect him to brake up any time soon just because Abby's mommy can't get on and is not as fortunate as the rest. Usually I talk more to the pikadates in forums than commenting! |

If by talking you mean leaving messages with comments ... or chit chatting on pages .... I talk by leaving comments & messages on my pikadate 's page , imikimis , etc , sometimes we private message , is that talk or by talk do you mean like chatting which i see on some pages ??
I have seen this some of the pets never ever go to say hello to thier pikadates , not even a comment , or just a big bold hello of any kind... this is not fair because single pets see a pikadate on the page & will not ask them out ...and there is not a way that I know of to remove a pikadate until you get asked out by another .... I hate to see my friends hurt , who have pikadates that don't say hello ... So for all pikadates out there if you are are on pikapet , chatting it up with others remember your pikadates & talk to them .... |
