 I have just went and watched some of it but I did have to stop!! All me and mum can say is this... We will probably NEVER eat Chicken or Turkey Ever again!!!  Those poor poor poor little creatures!!

We have documentaries with this type of information aired on British T.V  The video does say that graphic pictures will be shown and does warn viewers first!!  I understand why HUNIE has put this video for people to see and become aware of whats happening!  I don't find it offensive  ( It is unfortunately real life for these creatures) because it warned me first before viewing it!  It was my choice to stop or start it when I wanted to!

this thread is useless cause really it is between me and meeko not you not anyone just me and meeko but since it is out in  about, 1st of all that video is uncalled for  this is a pet site  for animal lovers not a site to show how animal get killed for food  me personally think it is B/S putting stuff like that on this site....you know their is under age  (under 18) children on this site also  and want if my son would of seen that and had  nightmare over that (when he comming to a site he love very much) cause of what them people was doing to them animal?  have you ever thought about it? so you  going to tell me son to grow up and not come to a  pet LOVER site and face what is going on out their with animal?    and or  are you going to tell half the people that agree with me to grow up when  they watch at video? ....now like i told meeko on her page  i told her this

AND yeah i know its a pet site and thats why i think its the perfect place for somthing like this.

I've got to admit, there are alternative ways to raise awarness then putting up grapic videos. You may argue that if you don't want to view it then don't play it, well what i have to say about that is people do not know what will happen in the video, they may have an idea seeing as it says graphic but human curiosity will prevail. Humans are curious by nature and will play a video posted about a subject they may care or be concerned about. Children could just as easily play the video unaware of the content and view something that may seriously impact them in a negative way. This sort of content could phase a person, you shouldn't be posting it on a site made for peoples pets, raise awareness by informing us that cruelty is going on without the horrendous content attached. Thats my opinion.

People in time will learn about these things anyway from there own findings, I don't know anyone that isn't aware of such animal cruelty.

And cats are curious creatures, thats because of the evoltion of intellegence, evolution is a subject i'm most fond of. :) With intellegnece comes curiosity, a want to learn, a want to understand. With the unknown sitting their, it's very hard for a creature such as a human to ignore, even though they may regret every pressing that play button after viewing the content. The want to alleviate ones curiosity surpases the fear of the possible content that video may contain. A humans curiosity must be satisfied, some peoples curiosity are a stronger driving force than others. Understanding the workings of the human mind will help you understand why it's so diffecult to simply not play the video of such a heated subject. It's very diffecult to not know about cruelty as it's always advertised on tv, always on the news, advertised on the internet, appeals always made for these creatures etc. The attempt to raise awarness is everywhere and guess what, non of these methods to raise awareness use grotesque videos, now if these people can do it without offending people surely you can too?

I understand your point of view Pippy it is a horrific thing to watch but I also feel that if there are Younger kids on here then they should be monitored by their parent anyway! When my daughter was on here with her rats there was always an adult beside her to watch what she was looking at!  Your point about it being inappropriate for a petsite is a very good point, On reflection I think it isn't the correct place for that video to be!!

Does Pikapet not view and approve videos before they are allowed to be shown here??? I don't know because I have never put a video on in the home pages!

I didn't find it offensive but your opinion Pippy has made me think more and I do tend to aggree with you! It shouldn't be on a FUN PET WEBSITE!

if they are 5 they shouldn't be on this website, andyeah  5 is a little to young.to make your own website well a good one you need money but right now i am not in the postion for that i need all the money i can get.

Ace i have to agree with pippy. That shouldNOT be on a site like this myself i have seen that video and it makes me cry. so me myself am asking you to not post it. theres many other ways and for my own instint i hate the fact that people WANT to hurt an animal, intread of beating it go with enthuzianation(sp?) it would be alot less horrifying and better me a vegetarian. that made me SICK. sorry i sound so offensive but its my opinion. and its also best thing to just become a vegetarian and not eat meat. i dont know what people think of when they eat an animal but truely i feel no one has a heart. expessialy if they hurt an animal. so please dont post that i dont want to be rude. but its my opinion and sorry for being so rude through this post. forgive me,

I DID NOT SEE ANY RULES WITH THE VIDEO...THEREFORE IS IS PERFECTLY FINE...AND IT YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ON THE SUBJECT ABOUT KIDS THEN MONITER YOUR KIDS! SIMPLE SOLUTION EH?

Did you know that 90% of american kids under 18 have seen porn?

98% have witness a living thing die on TV?

That 98% of American kids will watch something that their not supposed to by the time they're 15?

You are responsible for the videos you post and have people view. With that said, I don't think there should be anything innapropriate or too graphic for users. BUT you are responsible for what you post, so you could post anything you would like but you may also get in trouble for what you are showing other people.

I personally think there is other ways of spreading the word about animal cruelty. Maybe talking about it instead of showing videos. Some people might be interested in the videos and if you would like to show them, then you could private mail them.  I for one to do not like graphic videos and don't like seeing animals hurt but that is life. Everyone has their own opinions and thoughts about what they would like to see and that is mine.

Boy oh boy, I really didn't want to get caught up in this, but you know me can't stop chattering!! lol This is Pikapet, it is a website to have fun, to put your pets on and interact!! It is not to rally bad causes or advertise. Why do you want to take the fun

out of pikapet! We hear about all this in the news, papers and television. And it is depressing, there is a time and place for material like this and it is not on pikapet!!!

As long as I have someones attention, Just a few days ago there was drama about

pages being deleted. Now of course there is an explosion of pages being made, duplicated and it is getting of course, out of control. Out of all the pages that have been made, I only see one, maybe two at the very most, worth looking at!!!!! This is going to be my prediction, pages is going to be deleted again. Why? Because like every thing else, people have to overdo it!!! Pets complain that pikapet is slow, but

we don't worry about pluggin up the circuits with unnecessary junk!

So let me pose this question ... Who exactly are you appealing to?  People that WANT to watch graphic, violent videos?  People that want to watch videos like that are not people that are going to be swayed to take up the cause.

And what is so important about posting the actual video here as opposed to a link?  A link would serve the same purpose as the video without upsetting users, unless your purpose is to shock and upset us.

P.S. not all disagreements are drama.  Both Gigette's and my statements have been very rational, mature statements of opinion as have most of the statements for and against.  

Why ya'll gettin so worked up bout the videos when scruffys page is all well no alot of it is about animal abuse because of her past and we get praises on here page by some of the people aposing the videos
