does anyones kitten have a urge to lick your chin
baylee cuddles up too me and starts purring then she starts licking my chin not sucking shes not a kitten anymore so why is she doing this? has anyone had this same experience? |

Hmm..that is different. I'm not a licker, I'm one of those walk under your feet kittens. It's good fun to watch mommy trip over me. Hopefully someone knows why Baylee does that. |

was she bottle fed? I'm not a licker, unless mommy has milk or ice cream on her fingers. She did have a cat that was bottle fed who used to lick her & suck on her shirt even when he got older. |

well some people seem to think i was bottle fed but the truth is mommy found me in a ditch when i was a wee little thing and she fed me soft kitty food...but now all i wanna do is sit on my mommys chest and give licks **meow ** she gets annoyed sometimes cause i wont stop i can lick for hours...but iam starting to pay visit too my baby sister and lick her when shes laying in mommys bed with mommy hehe **giggles** |

I love to lick my mommy!! your kitty may be doing that because she is grooming you as if you were another kitty, or mommy perhaps. It could be since she left her mommy too early. I was taken to my new home when I was five weeks and seem to do the same thing you do, only i'm still a baby and may not do that when I'm older. I'll have to let you know when that time comes. |

did you feed her soft food by hand? If you did she could be associating you with the food, and the licking may be her trying to eat from you. My mommy feeds me by hand sometimes and when I see her hand or smell food i'll lick and suck on her fingers. |

Whenever I see my mommy laying down, i'll go up to her and lay in front of her on my side, and i'll put one paw on her face and lick her chin. Mommy can't understand why i do it, but i know. Did you ever feed her by hand? Because it so, she probably thinks she can still get some off of you. My mommy used to feed me by hand, because whenever she got me, the people at the pet store lied and said i was old enough to eat hard food and i couldn't, she had to feed me soft food by hand. So mommy thinks that's 1 reason why i do it. I hope that helped. |
