As weird as it sounds, I got my name from my brother Paco. Mommy would take him to get his wings/toenails trimmed at a petshop and afterwards, she let him talk to the birds they had for sale. He seemed to really like me so Mommy started talking to Paco and asking him questions just for fun (knowing he couldn't give a logical answer in the first place) She asked him "What's the birdy's name Paco?" Paco then started chirping the same word over and over- "BOOMER! BOOMER! BOOMER!"  Mommy still has no idea where he learned that word but when Paco passed away, Mommy came back to the pet store to find me. She could tell by my markings which one was me and took me home :)

There are a lot of reasons....

Sissy got a book about Border Collies for her birthday and their was a picture with a Border Collie by a plate that said Max =]

My sissy's grandfather's dad was named Max, so it might of been that =]

Sissy's best friend's dog's name was Max =]

Max is the only name that suits me- I'm proud to be a Max!

Mom named me Kit - Kit because its kinda like Kitten just take out the tten MOL

But when mommy very furst got me they said I was a boy and mom tried out a bunch of names, Bandit, Raccoon and a bunch of other ones. But when they found out I was a girlthey tried TinkerBelle and alot of other names  

When Mommy was thinking of getting a new pet, she was going to get a gerbil or guinea pig and name it Sparky ( After Pikachu's mouse friend on Pokemon LOL!) but after looking through the condo rules, we can only have caged birds, reptiles, hermit crabs, and fish. No rodents! So, they ended up getting me and naming me "Paco" because it sounded like what the employees of the pet shop called me "Parakeet (7)" lol

Mommy named me Bandit because when I was put into the tank I splashed all around and made a big mess! I'm a mischievious little fish :)

Mommy was running out of fish names honestly! I was so cute, tiny, and sweet so I became Baby!

Mom use to watch that show all the time!

Mommy named us Flame, Ember, and Spark because we are red fish and when we swim around, we look like we are little fire balls :)

I presume I should explain the "McKenzie" now! Well, I have this awful tendency… I snap food right out of hands of anyone with in reach (I am a high jumper, so pretty much EVERYTHING is fair game). Mom doesn’t want to train this out of me, for she fears it will decrease my “drive”. Well, I am very sneaky on my approach. I’ll sit wagging for a couple of seconds the out of the blue… SNAP! It’s mine! I am so fast mom’s younger cousin started calling me “Fingers McKenzie”, but seeing as the “fingers” in my situation are M.I.A., his brother blurted out “Shadow McKenzie”!

I really thought I did this forum already. Maybe I did one very similar awhile ago. Anyways how I came to be Maile Nei. Don't laugh but my name used to be Molly. When mom adopted me from that man who didn't want me anymore when I was 1 1/2 she decided that Molly it could NOT be. It was definitely not her cup of tea.

Heck she wasn't even sure she could love me period. Did I ever win her heart over (BOL!). It's the irresistable Chocolate!!!

Anyways mom tried to give me a name that would not be too different from Molly cause she did not want me to be confused (me confused? Never). So that is the Maile part of it. Maile in Hawaii is a gree fragrant lei. So my name should have been Maile Lei but somehow my mom again had to differentiate and say Nei instead.

Dad's friend had a doggie named Tika!  When I was adopted, Sissy wanted me named Reigna, but ohh no, Dad wouldn't have it.  So he came up with Kifa, from Tika!  Later we decided that Reigna should be my middle name because Dad said that I "Reign Upon All" ;)

Vinnie -- My real name's Vincent Vega, of course, named after the movie Pulp Fiction.  My middle name, though, is Mario, after the famous red-clad plumber.

Jewels -- My name is Jewels Luigi, and it also comes from both Pulp Fiction and Mario!

Zoey Chloe Rose -- Zoey and Chloe were the two top names for me, but they decided on Zoey.  Chloe was to be my middle name, but then Rose came in [after mommy's middle name] and now my full name is Zoey Chloe-Rose.

Nibbles -- Hahaha.  When I arrived, I bit a whole entire layer of skin off of Sissy's finger.  I've got such a unique name.

Mea -- I'm a Princess named Mea, and, to fit the family...why not "Toadstool"?  ;D

Pipi -- I'm small (but ferocious!)

Marley -- Mommy & Daddy were watching a TV show and there was a Marley on the screen...so they thought it was perfect.

Reese -- Chocolate!

Grandma couldn't decide on what to name me and my siblings { Rip }

So on the day that she FINALLY named us, it was storming out, so she decided to name all of us after the weather.

My Siblings were named...

Cloudy...As in Rain Clouds

Thunder...As in that big loud booming noise  that happenes when it storms out.

Lightning....As in the big white flashes that come from the sky.

ANd I'm STORMY...Because the day grandma named us, It was stormin' out.

Mama calls me...ThunderButt though, Because I'm so big !!!!!! { I'm even a bit bigger than Murphy is}

Murphy... mama named me after the tv show...Murphy Brown

Ashes....Look at the color of my fur, and take a guess !!! MOL

Torti...Well, I'm a tortishell cat ain't I ?

Spanky & Darla...We were named after the charicters on the movie the...Lil' Rascals

Nexxus, The shelter named me after a brand of Shampoo. { Don't ask ??!! BOL }

Roady, I was named after been found on the side of the road.

Furby...I was named after that kids toy that mama used to have, those Furby toy thingy's

Chipper...I'm always so chipper, and I've always a song to sing.

Fade- We have almost ALWAYS named our pets after Metallica songs. Fade's full name is Fade To Black. Haha. Notice the color of her fur ;)

 Hunter- Well, momma let one of her cousins name me. I am a Hunting dog, and plus, when cousin named me, I was wearing a hunter green collar. 

Moroni- its purnounced More-own-eye. Its an angel in the Book of Mormon. Yes, mom is Mormon =)

Rosie and Princess- I have no clue. Rosie is a reddish color..and yet again. Cousins named them.

 Belle- This is where cousins come in again. They are obsessed with Disney Princesses.. haha.

 Dice-I look like a dice!!! hence the fur color.

Chcio Boy- The shelter named him that.

 Roscoe- Well, Roscoe had many names..she was baby when mom adopted her. Then it turned into Pebbles because of my color. Then we got told she was a boy and grandma mentioned Roscoe Pico Train from The Dukes of Hazzard. Then we found out she was a girl..but kept the name.

Shadow- she was abandoned in the woods when we found her. She followed us around like a little shadow =)

 Misty- haha. Im a grey color. But, im a boy. We got told he was a she.. so now its Mr. Misty.

 Whalen- It was his name when we got him.

 Cali- She was a calico guinea pig.

Rico- I loved my other guinea pig sooo much that when she passed, I made sure I got a black guinea pig..I put Roscoe and Pico together...hence RICO!
