My friend Bootsu
I'm going to let my human type for a bit ...
My friend has a cat named Bootsu that is very sweet and loving when my friend is laying flat. The minute my friend raises a knee or rolls on his side, Bootsu attacks. I don't believe these are very serious attacks or my friend would have a lot more scratches on him.
Does anyone know where this behavior stems from? |

I really Have no answer either, But wondered if, They could Have Been played really, rough housing play! Like Sometimes Guys do, They Play really Rough! Several Years ago, I raised a few litters of Manx Kittens! I warned all Do not Play rough! It can develope sometimes into something You don't want! Like an attack Cat, He is playing, But You get to pay for it! I am not saying this is why, I just wonder! |

From what I understand, Bootsu has always been this way. It's hard to say. A mutual friend of ours (female) first adopted Bootsu and then she needed a place to stay and she and Bootsu stayed with my male friend and then Bootsu wound up staying with the guy. But I remember when my female friend first got Bootsu and I seem to recall she had a similar problem. I do believe Bootsu is playing somehow, just not quite sure what it has to do with my friend not laying flat. |

maybe the fact that the human is laying flat, bootsu associates this behavior with another cat or even a dog, since the person would on bootsu's level, and when they "move" bootsu asssumes it's time to play or go into "defend" mode ?? !!! |
