i had a strange rescue black cat i found with a couple of huge holes in his hip, probably a dog bite, i called him Sabbat and he was just nuts about chunky salsa and also tomatoes.. id be eating a burger with all the yummies and he would beg for the tomato slices.. very wierd.. he also liked mushrooms too!! |

I love Doritos. Mommy crunches them into little pieces for me. I will not inhale them like the stupid dogs do. I must savor every bite. I like french fries, I ate lettuce once & didn't really like it. I think I have to try banana bread....that sounds good. |

well basically if theres anything left out .. i attack (mom gets real mad) they had a sample wedding cake made ... who keeps it in the box?? so I jumped on it, but could not set it free, i did however get all of the frosting off of the actual cake ... if mom is eating in bed i jump on her, if there are dishes left in the sink, i clean them out ... i also got the lid off of the dogs treats one night and ate a good amount of those |

I dont eat kitty treats wont really eat anything but my food. There are only two expections to this rule, strawberry yogurt, I LOVE IT! I dont ever crawl on peoples laps but if you have strawberry yogurt you can't get me off you! but two licks and I am done. Also cereal milk, not plain milk. I only like milk left over from cereal, once again I take two licks and I am done. |

I'll eat everything that I can get ahold of with my claws! I really love corn on the cob - check out my pictures and also my brother Kinker's if you don't believe it!!! Momma calls me a scavenger! Even though I really don't like the dog, she does come in handy sometimes when I am trying to get something that somebody left out or has walked away from! That obviously doesn't happen too much, me and the dog cannot be trusted. |

I like coffee, too, Oliver! I don't normally get to eat much people food, because my big pig, scavenger brother beats me to it! I'm so little and my mouth is tiny so it takes me longer to get something into it. Before I get a chance, G Boy comes along and inhales whatever it was that I was trying to eat! It's so not fair! |

You have to be careful of string, ribbons, etc. Cats and string do not mix, despite the popular image of cats playing
happily with string! Same goes for other "string-like" items -- rubber
bands (many cats, including one of mine, just love to eat rubber
bands!), tinsel, Easter grass decorations, needle and thread, and
window blind pulls. I even did surgery on one cat that consumed large
amounts of rubber tubing! The "fishing pole" type of toys are also very
popular and may be tempting for cats to consume the feathers or the
enticing "bait" part of the toy.
Why do cats eat odd things? (A condition called pica.)
Reasons vary, but can be related to stress, boredom, attention seeking
behavior, play behavior, or to the simple fact that the item
tastes/smells good to the cat.
If an animal eats a string or similar object, it is termed a "linear foreign body". What happens if a cat ingests a linear foreign body? The intestines can
become blocked or stressed/pulled/torn as the string bunches up and
binds during intestinal peristalsis (wavelike muscular contractions).
Clinical signs may include any of the following:
- vomiting or dry heaves
- anorexia or decreased appetite
- straining to defecate or diarrhea
- painful abdomen
- fever
- depression
- dehydration (due to vomiting)
So the answer to this question is... call your vet as soon as you
notice your cat ate the string to find out the best course of action
for your pet and the circumstances. |

One Christmas, I ate the pretty blue ribbon off the tree. Mommy managed to get a piece of it that was sticking out of my mouth and literally pulled it out of my belly. That was the end of the human dinner for THAT day! |

I go crazy for pasta! Just can't get enough of the stuff. Cheese is tasty too but i'm only allowed the tiniest bit. I also like tomatoe puree and pizza, I'll munch the crust and all if given the chance, though i'm NEVER allowed pizza! Mash potato is tasty and i've also eaten popcorn and cheese and onion flavoured crisps. I even licked up some yogurt and chocolate, i'm never allowed this stuff but if i'm sneaky enough I eat it when no-ones looking! |

with my momma, she had lots of strange kitties! not half of them were her own.. she just caretook them.. but anyways.. momma used to have this scraggly lil black kitty boy she called Sabbat.. and he was not into eating many things at first.. but like alot of cats, he seemed very interested in eating anything she ate since i guess he figured it must be good if momma is eatin it!! so he was the only cat momma heard of that had an extreme passion for any kind of mushrooms and salsa.. wierd he would actually eat chunky salsa right from the bowl soon as momma turned her back! she shared her mushrooms with him though:D |
