And you can't really do anything about it. If you report, they're not going to be taken out of the contest... *Sigh*

Maybe just maybe if we all reported these fake pets - especially those that are in contests competing against us and our friends. Maybe then Pikapet would take them out after being overwhelmed with the same report. Like I reported this one in the contest forum and directly to pikapet. What if everyone else did too??!!

Another thought is maybe we should have or keep this Fake Pet Forum as an ongoing forum listing real fake pets so everyone can report them. Maybe something would happen that way. I think if pikapet were overwhelmed with complaints of the same fake pets things might happen. Just a thought.

I think we should put a forum post about fakes.... a lot of pets would probably participate. The pets that don't like when you say "fake" directly to the pets... would probably like it compared to the usual.

Since it WAS your idea Maile, you should post the forum, if you want to. 

Make a forum? Not a good idea. That'll just get the immature little brats started. You should tell pikapet about the whole fake thing and let them deal with it. They are people who can actually delete pet(s) pages.

People who steal other people's pictures are pathetic. More then pathetic, IMMATURE. This has been going on multiple sites. WHY? It's stupid. You didn't take the pictures, so don't steal them. Don't claim the animal as yours if it isn't.

People are never going to learn.

It is ok to tell pikapet but that is not taking them out of the contest or off the site. The idea of the forum is so EVERYONE will tell pikapet and maybe THEY will hear us and take the fake pets out of the contest and off the site. One bark doesn't do it I know that from experience and have in the past had pets kicked off a site for being a fake.

In other words did everyone who made a comment here in this forum report Jaime to pikapet? If so paws up - if not paws down - cause pikapet is not going to hear only one bark - yet I see 7 possible barks!

If we report them, pikapet has NEVER (That I know of anyway) deleted pets that pets report. It says that "one or more pets have reported th profile", that is on the profile. But if you make a forum and pets complain, they do delete it.... proof? here you go :)

Maybe if we all keep our paws crossed - I don't see any new contests (yet) so maybe (just maybe) Pikapet is ironing out the kinks of getting these fakes out of the contests.

Otherwise --- the plan will be to keep a running list at the bottom part of each contest. Where it says why you should vote for me we shall make believe it also says why you should not vote for me and we will fill that in with the name of the fake!

So when you add a fake pet's name you should add the ones that have been listed before too so there is only 1 list and we don't need to keep looking all the way down and say whoops I just voted for that pet!!

And please be sure to report the fake pet to Pikapet (even if you think I or some other pet did) because the more reports there are the better chance we have at resolve.

Why would  you put someones pet on here if it's fake? That's why mom feels guilty being a human being. People do a lot of stupid things.

Malie, would you mind if i started the thread? I've "solved cases" of fake pets before, and could find just the proof pikapet would be looking for. :)

I don't really see where this is a "detective" job that needs to be done and feel that needs to be left for pikapet. I have a LOT of experience too at detecting fakes and could throw you a list of many that you believe to be your friends at this time -  but - refuse to put myself in such a targeted position because it is not worth the kickback.

I'm here for fun not to be a detective. I do believe this is a  Community issue and task and that is why I was talking about starting a thread in website problems where pikapet could see it and everyone could contribute to it and pikapet could deal with it.

But Boomer if you wish to be a detective and have the experience and want to  start your own thread - I definitely have no problems with anyone doing it. I just won't start mine and will do what I normally do when I run across a fake - especially in a contest.

I was just trying to get a community to work together. Fakes are of no value to me either way because I personally have the means to deal with them. It is when it affects the contest that bothers me and needs to be dealt with.

I don't care if you all disagree with me. It's just how some other sites do it. Obviously I don't know this site "well enough." Even though I've been here for awhile.
