deleting accounts......?
i was just wondering do you think there could be a way that if a pet was last seen longer then say a month that there account could be deleted...? its just annoying going onto pages where the user is obviously never coming back... especially when it is unknown when they were last seen...... |

I'm pretty sure I made a comment to a forum post like this before, but I can't find it. Well I'll say what I said on the other one. If Pikapet would start deleting those fake profiles then maybe. But they can't even do that right now. They have gotten better on deleting the accounts, but not there.I have reported loads of pets. I think I have only seen 2 usernames go. They have come back... most of the fakes is the same girl.

i dont get why someone or pikapet would do that.

it would be nice if pikapet was only full of active users. especially for people who are tied down to a pikadate that was last seen like 3 months ago(not saying that applies to me or anything) but it is no fun having a pikadate that is never coming back!! |

Hey Milly....actually if someone has a Pikadate that never comes on here to visit, I think there should be a way to cancel the Pikadate, but the way I understand it, you have to find a new Pikadate before you can delete your old Pikadate. Am I right about this, Pets? That's how I thought it was, anyway. I think there should be a better way....like, what if a pet decides he/she no longer wants to PikaDate, but then that Pet is stuck with a date that isn't wanted. I don't think that is right, somehow.

I would say 6 months maximum because we left one pet site for awhile to come here, but we were gone way over a month but some of the pictures on my page were the only copies left and if we got deleted, we would lose those. So maybe at 6 months they could "hide" their page so we don't see it but it's still there. That way they could renew the account if they wanted to or just let it fade away.. |

i dunno but i think if it was unused for that long they probly don't care. i wouldn't say they'd even remember the username or password after that long. also i think 3 months would be enough. but yea the hiding the account could work too |

Excellent idea, Paco. Pets do leave sites and go on others for a while to check things out, but that does not necessarily mean that they want to be gone forever. We Pets are guilty of that....we haven't been on Dogster or Petster for a long time, but we don't want to lose our Diaries and pics there, since we might want to visit there again. We go back and forth to Petsplaces a lot to visit our friends there, but we always end up here, because we are happier here. Mainly we Pets just chat with the pets here who are on frequently, though. I know it does get frustrating to never hear from certain pets we want to be friends with. I don't think deleting is the answer. I think just sticking with the ones who you do know like to chat is a better answer and not to worry about the others.

Yup we went from Petster, Penny to dogster, to Petsplaces, to pikapet. We deleted our petster since we didn't need it anymore though :/ |

We pets agree with you, Paco, about Petster. It is our least favorite and I guess we should delete that one, too. |
